Here’s a thought: When you locate the validity of the strategy, you will no longer be captive to the problem. Allow me to explain. One of the first questions we instinctively ask is “Why?” This is not because we are stubborn, rebellious or even curious. The question most often comes from our desire to understand the strategy behind a solution to a problem or even a particular path to an opportunity. We want to insure that the steps we take bring the desired results. This is a good and wise approach. The Proverbs says this about wisdom and understanding: Proverbs 4:6-8 (NKJV) says, “Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. {7} Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. {8} Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
When we don’t know the steps necessary to move through a problem or into an opportunity, we may find ourselves captive to the unknown. It’s reassuring to know that God’s Word always holds the strategy we need whether it’s a problem or an opportunity. Consider how you would answer this question: Where have you been finding the strategy you need, from day to day, that you expect will take you past your problems or into your opportunities? Now, that’s a question worthy of serious consideration.
