God does not need Proof.

Have you ever had someone try to argue with you that God does not exist? Perhaps they did not argue, but told you they could not convince themselves that He is real. I have found these times to be frustrating, because proving God is real is one argument or attempt at persuasion that you will not normally win. This is because God has not obligated Himself, or you, to prove that He is who He says He is. He is self-existent and one day everyone finds out the truth.

Psalms 46:10 (GWT) says, “Let go <of your concerns>! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth.” The New King James Version of this verse says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

I can imagine God saying, “Stop all the commotion and effort. Just quiet your thinking and emotions. Then give Me the attention necessary to experience who I am, up close and personal.” When anyone does this, his or her concerns, anxieties and doubts will go away. Experience has taught me that when doubters calm down and let their emotions settle into a place of peace, there will be no need for proof. They will experience God, and know that He is just too good to pass up. When you have the opportunity, what would you say to doubters, who need to be still and know that He is God?
