Unexpected Building Blocks

I recently heard Bishop Tony Miller say that some of the best building blocks in life are the things that seem the most destructive. Bishop Miller caused me to consider the building blocks of my own life. How did I react to the difficulties and what were the results of my attitudes. Was I discouraged? Did I surrender to the situation? Or, did I turn to God, knowing that He could bring joy to me, even in the midst of the trials. James 1:2-4 (NKJV) says,  “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, {3} knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. {4} But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

Each time I stood in firmly faith, patiently waiting for God to move into my own trials, I have seen God respond in His faithfulness. The experience always provided me with a testimony. This testimony became valuable in the next challenge or test, because the victories I had in the trials I faced were among the best building blocks I could have. They were the stuff of which my faith, strength, determination and victory were made. Are you in a test or trial of some kind? Handle it so your test becomes your testimony. What have you built out of the stuff you have been through? I’m Dr. Bob. This question speaks directly to the way we allow our faith to work.
