I have come to realize that whatever wisdom I have to share is not because of anything I am. It all comes from two outside sources, which are the Word of God and the still small voice of the Lord. I have simply understood this; have seen its value and then embraced it for myself. In fact, as I look back on my life, I can see that, very often, when I ignored this priceless biblical wisdom and applied my own thinking to make my choices, I was likely to make the wrong ones. Proverbs 2:6 (NKJV) says, “For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) says, “Wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” All wisdom comes from above. The next time you or I need wisdom, let’s go to the throne and seek the wisdom from God. We will find the throne as we search the Scriptures and listen for the voice of God. This will assure us that we will be able to live safely and successfully under the wings of wisdom. Then, we will be able to help others wisely who we might advise, council or teach.
