From Crisis to Blessing

I want to share the way you go from the crisis you may find yourself in to the blessing that you so desperately need, even when it may seem impossible. You can be confident that God has one prepared an unfailing process for you to enter into that will do the job. Psalm 50:14-15 describes it for us. Listen to the Amplified Bible Paraphrase. “Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High, {15} And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.”

The psalmist gives us the two parts of this unfailing process of deliverance that leads to your blessing. These two parts are found in Verse 14. It first teaches us to thank God in advance for our deliverance. We are to do so before we ever see the door open. Second, we are to unconditionally honor whatever we have promised God about the ways we will conduct our lives. We are not to make it a fleece. It is to be unconditional. We are to make it an act of dedication and obedient commitment. Verse 15 describes God’s faithful invitation for you and me to call upon Him. When we do, He promises to answer with deliverance and open the door to our blessings. After this, we can respond by committing our lives to honor and glorify Him. I’m Dr. Bob. Think about it. …Selah!
