God Can Steer a Moving Boat

I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want you to think about how a boat has to be moving when it goes through a narrow channel. If it stops, it will be swept aside and hit the rocks. As long as it is moving forward, it stays under control. Then, it can be steered safely past the dangers of the shifting currents. You can be sure the boat has to navigate through some very tight spots. Its captain knows that as long as it continues to keep moving, everything will be all right. (Philippians 3:12-14 NKJV) “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. {13} Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, {14} I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” There are always tight spots in our lives. That’s why we have to press on through, moving until we arrive safely at our destination. This biblical advice works both long and short term. It will get you through the tight spots. Just keep moving. God has given you all the power you will need, and if you let Him, He will steer your boat. I’m Dr. Bob.
