I’m Dr. Bob and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want to remind you of your rights and responsibilities as children of God. John 1:12 (NKJV) says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” If you know Christ, then you are a child of God. Now listen to Ephesians 4:1 (NKJV), in which the Apostle Paul writes, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” How do you do that? The answer is found in the next verse. Paul says, “Walk in love.” There is one more thing. In Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV), Paul reminds us of our past. He says, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” You are a child of light. You have left the darkness. Your path through life will grow brighter, day-by-day. God has provided this so you can navigate clearly and successfully through your responsibilities and opportunities. I’m Dr. Bob, and that’s a Mentoring Minute that will light your day and show you the way. You can listen to additional Mentoring Minutes at http://www.mentoringministry.com/blogs.
