I’m Dr. Bob and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want to encourage you that if you want to bring increase to your prayer life, bring increase to your faith life. This means you deliberately confess who God is and what He has done for you. Do this in two specific ways. First, get in the habit of beginning all your prayer times by giving God your verbal praise. Tell Him you know He is who His Word says He is. Then tell Him that you know He will do what His Word promises. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) says, “Rejoice always, {17} pray without ceasing; {18} in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Resist the temptation to ask God for anything until you clearly sense the anointing fall. Only after you get this breakthrough should you make your requests. Why? Because what you have done is to speak aloud the things that extol Him, while building your faith. Make this your habit. Include deliberate praise for Him in your day, all day long. Consider Him your partner each day. Thank Him constantly for His supernatural intervention in your daily experiences and activities… even the smallest ones. Your conversations with Him then become faith-building prayers without ceasing. I’m Dr. Bob and that is a Mentoring Minute worth putting into daily practiced.
