I’m Dr. Bob, and for just a Mentoring Minute I want to suggest to you that avoiding most accidents in not accidental. It is, in fact, the result of the deliberate application of the gift of God’s wisdom. Most of what you will encounter in life happens because of where you have positioned yourself. It is true that you cannot foresee every circumstance and may still find yourself victim to a chance situation. However, most times you do have the power to walk wisely in ways and places that take you down the correct path to safety. This happens when you apply God’s wisdom and direction to your life. Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Psalms 37:23-24 (NKJV) says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. {24} Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.” I’m Dr. Bob. It would be wise to stick your nose in the Word, and take the time to listen for the voice of God. If you will, you can keep yourself out of trouble. Now that’s a valuable piece of wisdom.
