Mentoring Ministry

Providing biblical teaching resources for the next generation.

Don’t Go Back

I’m Dr. Bob and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want to encourage you not to look back or go back to the old influences and ways of behavior from your past. This is good advice. It covers three specific areas of life – your thinking, feelings and behavior. Romans 6:13-14a (NKJV) says, “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. It continues to say, {14} …for you are not under law but under grace.” Romans 12:2 (NLT) says, “…let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” Your future success begins with your thinking. Work toward a personal transformation in the way you think. Take encouragement and direction from God’s instructions in Romans 12:2. If you will change your thinking, changes in the way you feel and act will follow. Here is your confession as you look ahead. “I have the mind of Christ. I am thinking like a champion for Jesus. I am changing from glory to glory. I will move to all God has for me.” You can listen to my previous Mentoring Minutes at http://www.mentoringministry.com/blogs.
