Isolation or Insulation?

Podcast: isolation or Insulation?
I’m Dr. Bob and for just a Mentoring Minute, I want to talk to you about the significance for your life of isolation verses insulation. Acts 2, verses 1 and then 4 (NKJV) says, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place… {4} And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” First, the people of God came together in agreement, all gathered in one place. Then they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Here’s the point. It is clear to see that at Pentecost, God worked when His people joined in agreement with each other. Scripture and our experience teach us that the devil, working through our emotions, will try to isolate us. Isolation leads to vulnerability. It is a dangerous place to be. Avoid this at all costs. Instead, gather in agreement with other Christians, and invite the Lord to come down among you. He will do so. He will honor your assembly, as you honor Him. He will fill you with His Spirit and power. His presence will then insulate you from the effects of the devil’s attacks. Make it your pattern in life to be part of a fellowship of God’s people. Be filled and fully energized with all God has for you and enjoy the blessings of walking in victory with Him. I’m Dr. Bob and that’s my Mentoring Minute.
