I’m Dr. Bob and for just a mentoring minute, I want to share something that is certainly not original with me, but it is well worth repeating. Here it is. Do not tell God how big your storm is. Tell your storm how big your God is. Matthew 8:23-26 (NKJV) says, “Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. {24} And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. {25} Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” {26} But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” After you have told your storm how big God is, why don’t you say one more thing. It has all the authority against storms that it had on a distant sea in a distant time. Go ahead, try it. Speak these three powerful words to your storm, “Peace, be still” …in Jesus’ name.
