Assuming a New Ministry

Over the years I have seen people in charge of particular ministries come and go. This is to be expected. It is a consequence of God’s plans, His will and sometimes simply life! When this happens, programs in place in the church are given into the hands of someone new. I have observed that most people want to change things as quickly (and often as completely) as they can. Let me suggest a fool-proof way to assume a new ministry and avoid disaster. It is real simple – Do not change anything until you have a good understanding of both the program and the people in it. Your patience will be rewarded and you will be glad you waited.
